Kshitij and Siddharth met as MFA Cinematography students at the New York Film Academy, both trained under BAFTA Lifetime Achievement recipient Anthony B. Richmond, ASC, BSC. What began as classmates became years of working together (Kshitij behind the camera, Sid producing) across short films that travelled from the New York International Film Festival to the International Film & Entertainment Festival of Australia to Cannes Marché du Film. Different roles each time, same shared instinct about what makes a picture work.
Before the MFA, Siddharth completed a degree in Computer Science and Communication Engineering, the path that now powers Grace's backend and the partnership's technical work.
Obelisk Studio and TDH Systems are what happens when that work gets formalized. The vision was never a corporate value. It's just how the work has always gotten made.
The partnership is structured as two independent studios, working on the same picture from opposite sides. One shapes what gets seen. The other builds what makes it run.
The picture side. Operates the post house, leads Grace's American business, runs conversations with productions and clients. Shapes the creative direction, the user experience, the industry presence. The studio of record for everything that ships under the Obelisk name.
The engineering side. Builds and runs Grace's backend, infrastructure, and the technical systems that make the platform real. The work nobody sees but that everything the studio ships depends on. Long-form thinking on architecture, scaling, and what gets built next.
Kshitij Kapil is an award-winning cinematographer and colorist with nearly a decade of experience. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography from the New York Film Academy and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from Syracuse University. He has had the privilege of being mentored by acclaimed cinematographer Anthony B. Richmond, ASC, BSC. His work spans short films, feature films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials, with a consistent focus on achieving superior image quality and serving the story with intention. Kshitij's cinematography has been recognized at well-established festivals such as WorldFest Houston International Film Festival and IndieX Film Festival.

He holds an MFA in Cinematography from the New York Film Academy, where he trained under BAFTA Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Anthony B. Richmond, ASC, BSC. Before that, he completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Communication Engineering, the foundation that now powers Grace's backend and TDH Systems' technical work. His films have been recognized at the Cannes Marché du Film, International New York Film Festival, Los Angeles International Film Festival, and the International Film & Entertainment Festival of Australia, where he won Best Production.
